Virginia Career Works – Piedmont, our local workforce development agency, is available to help whether you’re entering the workforce for the first time or exploring a new path. Offering career coaching, resume and interview help, job training, and placement support, their free tools and guidance are built to help you succeed.

Skill Builder, offered through Virginia Career Works – Piedmont, is a free, four-week program offering an opportunity to build or refine crucial job skills, earn a certificate and finish the program with a guaranteed interview with a local employer.

Germanna Community College’s Culpeper campus offers workforce training and coursework close to home, with programs designed to build real, job-ready skills.

New Pathways Tech, based at the George Washington Carver Center, teaches the basics of precision machining on both manual and CNC equipment. Participants who complete the program can earn a NIMS (National Institute of Metalworking Skills) credential.
